Click to Check Out the Device @Amazon

Lenovo recently announced their new mid range Smartphone in India, the Zuk Z1. The phone is back by most the advanced features and is priced at Rs 13,499/-. The phone sports the popular Cyanogen OS user interface. The device boasts the previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, which is still a very powerful chipset and capable of delivering top class performance.
The device is currently available exclusively on Amazon portal and is being sold via flashsales. This year we have seen many impressive mid range smartphones hit the market and Zuk Z1 is the new one to join the fray. The phone is reasonably priced and offers decent specs for the price.

Build and Display: The phone sports a simplistic design, and is built using combination of plastic and aluminium. The back cover is made up of plastic while the frame uses metal. The edges of the phone is curved which takes care of the ergonomics. The phone is fairly large in my opinion for single hand use. The smooth finish back also makes the phone slightly slippery. It weighs 175 gms which is acceptable for a phablet kind of device. The design despite being simple looks pretty elegant and lends a premium feel to it.
For a mid range device the design and built is pretty satisfactory in my opinion.
The display on the device is also quite decent. The color reproduction is true and crisp which makes the viewing soothing to eyes. Quality of screen is good which ensures distortion free display to enrich end user experience.

Battery Life: It is one of the key selling points of the device as it sports a mammoth 4100 mah battery which will easily last you for a day and more on a single charge. The battery is non user replaceable. This phone does not come with Qualcomm fast charging and it will take approximately 2.5 hours to charge.

Hardware Specifications: Despite using an outdated chipset, the phone is really very powerful and provides a lag free experience. The Snapdragon 801 also ensures that you don’t face any serious heating issue under heavy use. Adreno 330 GPU is still powerful enough to run graphic intensive games pretty smoothly while 3 Gb Ram ensures that phone is fluid even while multitasking.
The device does not support external SD Card but has got storage capacity of 64 GB which is pretty impressive and will be adequately sufficient for most users.
Software and Features: The device is running on Android Lollipop 5.1 but is expected to get the Marshmallow update very soon. The best part about the interface is that it runs the Cyanogenmod UI which is preferred by many and offers some additional features without altering the stock android experience for the end users.

Zuk Z1 attempts to accommodate most of the premium features in order to provide best overall experience to the end users. The Fingerprint scanner is really fast and responsive. The phone is equipped with other essential sensors as well. However, the notable omission from the device is the NFC support and IR Blaster. The phone also does not support Qualcomm fast charging either.

Call reception and quality is also good on the device.

Camera: The device is powered by 13mp rear and 8 mp front facing camera. The rear camera comes with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and 5P lens which helps in getting decent quality pictures under normal daylight as well as artificial lighting conditions. Even in low lighting conditions the camera does reasonably well although images do appear to have a bit of noise.

Service Support: This is a bit of concern with most of the Chinese brands as they do not have the best after sales service. Lenovo has to address the concerns surrounding the same. As of now, they primarily provide after sales support through third party providers which leads to unnecessary delays and unsatisfactory service.

Overall Verdict: The device offers a lot of value for the price. However, the competitors are also not lagging behind and have equally potent devices in their stables. The likes of Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le1S and Moto G4Plus will offer a tough competition to this device.
The things which work in favour of Zuk Z1 is the powerful Processor along with a good battery life and decent camera. So, if these are the things one is looking for in a device then this device may just be for you.
